MEAL REVIEW

May 12, 2014

Went out for a meal on Saturday to the Knockerdown Inn at Carsingtom in Derbyshire. Havingpreviously eaten there aws a bit dubious but was a guest so didn’t want to offend my hosts.
Typical pub menu and having had the haddock and chips previously when the fish was mniscule I decided to avoid. Instead cosea mixed grill, not the gigantic special, just an ordinary mixed grill.
Pleased to say it was actually very good. The single sausage was done to a cinder but everything else was great. A nice pork chop, small lamb chop, piece of steak with onion rings, mushrooms, egg, chips and peas. Not high level gourmet but perfectly adequate.
Followed by a generous slice of mango and passion fruit cheesecake, all in all a pleasant repaste.
